A collection designed in one part of the world may ultimately live in a very different environment. While the design remains unchanged, the materials and specifications behind it deserve careful consideration. Climate, exposure, and patterns of use all influence how a piece performs and ages over time.

This is why the brands we work with invest heavily in material research and testing. Fabrics, finishes, metals, and woods are selected not only for their appearance, but also for their long-term suitability. Solution-dyed textiles, corrosion-resistant metals, and responsibly sourced hardwoods are examples of materials chosen with both performance and longevity in mind.

Equally important is understanding how these materials evolve. Natural teak develops character through exposure. High-quality outdoor textiles are engineered to retain their integrity and colour for longer. No material is entirely maintenance-free, and we believe in being transparent about that.
